Job Objective:

The CL Business Development Marketer will provide quality quotes to all Commercial Lines Dodge Partners Insurance clients. The Marketer will perform the essential duties of this position, which include assisting the producer in gathering client information, data, applications and anything else required to obtain a quality quote. The Marketer will provide direction to the Agent through to issuance working collaboratively, efficiently and timely. The Marketer will maintain the highest degree of rapport between the producer, client, carriers, and agency personnel.

Primary Responsibilities:

· Quote new Commercial Lines business for producers using agency resources, technology & carriers.

· Remarket existing business based on service team requests or to meet client expectations.

· Maintain good working relationship and process with service team to obtain quality quotes/remarkets.

· Write all types of commercial lines business and stay up to date with carriers and industry.

· Keep service team informed of delays or needs in order to finalize quotes by deadline.

· Monitor workload and communicate to management when needs arise.

· Process all work timely and according to expectations; maintaining good followup with carriers & underwriters.

· Provide comprehensive attention to detail and thorough documentation to support E&O standards.

· Maintain proper documentation/task management in Worksmart customer/prospect file.

· Negotiate with carrier underwriters in a professional manner.

· Work with all carrier underwriters and company personnel to resolve problems in a timely and professional manner.

· Other job duties as assigned.

Job Qualifications:

  • High school diploma and 3-5+ years prior insurance industry experience
  • Appropriate insurance licenses required. Professional designation(s) a plus
  • Leadership skills are required
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent computer skills specifically with MS Word and MS Excel
  • Ability to work in a group and independently
  • Perform multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment and perform under pressure
  • Ability to anticipate and resolve problems

Extensive knowledge of Commercial Lines coverage and carriers relevant to the agency

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $70,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
